Recreational Facilities -
Campers will have complete use of Camp Cumberland's recreational facilities and grounds.  The 320 acre facility includes miles of trails and hills to challenge any cross country athlete.  Additionally, the campers have access to the camp swimming pool, a climbing wall, putt-putt golf, sand volleyball, mountain bikes, fishing, rec room, and a human foosball court.

Housing - Housing is provided in either the dorm or cabins on the grounds of Camp Cumberland.  Campers will need to provide their own linens (sleeping bag and pillow recommended).  Boys and girls are housed in seperate  areas and are suppervised at all times.  Camp staff members will be staying in the housing units to supervise during non-instructional periods.

Check-In/Check-Out - Check-In will be held on Saturday, July 19th in the Dinning Hall from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Check-Out will be on Thursday, July 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Food - Campers will be treated to meals served in the Camp Cumberland Dinning Hall.  These well-balanced meals like your mom would serve are made each day by the staff of Camp Cumberland. You won't go away hungry and that's for sure.

What to Bring -      Campers should bring two pairs of training shoes, t-shirts, shorts, socks, towels, bathing suit, sweat shirt and pants, bedding, pillow, and personal hygiene items.  Campers may also want to bring a small amount of money for extra snacks and drinks from the camp canteena. Washers and dyers are available at no additional cost to campers. 

Camp Staff: Camp Counselors will provide 24-hour supervision.  Counselors are current and former collegiate athletes, including current and former APSU track and cross country members.

Dr. Douglas J. Molnar - Coach Molnar is currently the Head Cross Country and Track Coach at Austin Peay State University.  Coach Molnar has over 20 years of coaching and running expereince. The West Virginia University graduate was a member of the nation's third-ranked cross country team in the NCAA during his tenure where he was a two-time captain of the track team.  He started his coaching career at Kent State University.  While at Kent, he coached six conference champions and two relay teams that were ranked in the top 10 in the country by Track & Field News.  His athletes earned nine Division I All-American awards during his years with the Golden Flashes.  Molnar furthered his career at the University of Tennessee as the Volunteers won a Southeastern Conference Championship, two NCAA track titles, and a berth in the NCAA Cross Country Championships.  In 2002, Molnar moved south to the University of Texas Pan-American to build the Broncs' distance program.  It did not take long for the Broncs to make a splash as Molnar coached the Broncs first NCAA All-American in cross country and track in his first season at the helm while the Lady Broncs had their highest NCAA Regional finish in twenty years.

Adrian Wheatley - Coach Wheatley  is currently the Assistant Track & Field Coach at Austin Peay State University.  Wheatley who is beginning his second year with the Govs came to Austin Peay following coaching stints at the College of Charleston, the Knoxville Track Club, and in the prep ranks.  After helping Worthington (OH) High School to a state championship, Wheatley accepted a track scholarship to the University of Tennessee.  While at Tenessee, Wheatley was a three-time All-Southwestern Conference selection and a two-time NCAA All-American selection. Wheatley was elected as the team captain and was named the EdSouth's Men's Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2002.  During his tenure in Knoxville, Tennessee won two NCAA Championships, a NCAA Runner-up trophy, and two SEC Championships.

Insurance - Each camper is covered by a limited accident insurance policy.  The cost of the insurance is included in the registration fee,  The insurance includes primary insurance coverage up to $1000, secondary coverage up to $5000, and $300 maximum dental.  The insurance does not cover pre-existing injuries and is limited to camp related accidents.

Costs - Costs for a Residential Individual Camper is $405.00.  Team Campers (five or more individuals from the same team) are $385.00 per individual.  The fee includes room and board, instructional materials, camp insurance, t-shirt, and recreational opportunites. Commuter Campers are charged $300.00.  They will be provided breakfast and lunch, instructional materials, camp insurance, t-shirts, and recreational opportunites.
